Golden Alexander
Zone 3 - 9
This native plant is rarely offered. Upright, clumping perennial with attractive divided leaves and branching, erect, reddish stems. In late spring it is adorned with lacy, yellow, flat, flower caps. Followed by dry seed heads which turn purple in the summer. Creates an open, airy effect in the garden. Excellent for natural gardens. Loved by butterflies particularly swallowtails. Easy to grow in full sun and average to moist soil. Will self-seed but not in a bad way. HEIGHT: 75-80 cm SPREAD: 45-60 cm
